Therefore, building healthy self-esteem in a child should be a priority for parents.

1. “You can do it!”
Our words, as parents, become inner speech in the heads of our children. We know that our children are very capable – so let your words help them believe this. Avoid says: “You could get hurt/get yourself in trouble” or “Don’t fail.” Our tone and words should exude confidence.
